Cibola Vista, Peoria, AZ

I love this resort. The pool is a perfect escape from the desert heat. We enjoyed staying here and unwinding while on a long road trip in June 2022.

There is a lot of great hiking nearby. Lake Pleasant, Sedona, and even the Grand Canyon are within driving distance. We enjoyed a day trip to Slide Rock State Park in Sedona while staying at Cibola Vista in July 2024. The kids enjoyed slipping and sliding in the cold creek water.

Paradise Point, Hollister, MO

This is a beautiful resort near Branson, Missouri. We enjoyed the spacious accommodations in December 2021.

Harbour Lights, Myrtle Beach, SC

We took a trip to Myrtle Beach in December 2021 for our 22nd anniversary. While Bluegreen has several resorts on the beach, Harbour Lights is a few miles away.

The accomodations were nice, but we are not in a hurry to return to this location.

The Club at Big Bear Village, Big Bear Lake, CA

I love Big Bear! One of the main reasons we bought into Bluegreen was because of the locations of their resorts, especially Big Bear Lake, CA. This town was our getaway while stationed in 29 Palms. We were able to enjoy this resort in November 2021. And it did not disappoint!

The mountain air brought back so many memories. And the accomodations at this resort are phenomenal!

It is also located right next to The Village which has all kinds of souvenier shops and places to eat.

I am looking forward to returning to this magical place someday!

The Falls Village, Branson, MO

The Falls Village in Branson, Missouri is in a great location: Near the action, but not too close. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable.

Our first trip to this resort was in July 2021. It is now our go-to spot for a Christmas trip when visiting family in Missouri.

For fellow Bluegreen owners, it may not have the flair and amenities of Big Cedar, but it has plenty and is a steal of a deal when using points.

The Eilan, San Antonio, TX

Our first official stay at a Bluegreen resort was at The Eilan in San Antonio, TX in December 2020 for our 21st Anniversary. It is a beautiful property, however, the rooms are just like standard hotel rooms. The bathrooms are a bit of an awkward set-up, probably in an effort to appear fancy. San Antonio is a fun place to explore, and the River Walk has delightful Christmas decorations.

There is a large, beautiful pool, which we were able to enjoy when we stayed at The Eilan in March 2022.

The Eilan is perfectly located next to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It is also an easy drive to Sea World, which we took advantage of in November 2022. So, this is a Bluegreen resort we will use if we have a reason to go to San Antonio, but it is definitely not our first choice for a vacation.

How It Started

Our adventure with Bluegreen Vacations started like many other people... at Bass Pro Shops. Willy and I took a trip to Denver, Colorado for our 20th wedding anniversary in December 2019. One evening we were innocently strolling through the Bass Pro in the mile high city, when a smooth salesman drew us in and told us we could take a trip to select locations for a discounted price, and we'd get gift cards on top of that. I suppose he had me at the word "discount." We had to agree to sit through a presentation, of course. No probelm, we thought. We can easily say no to their sales pitch. Ha! I wouldn't be starting this blog if that was the case.
